IB@CM – getting to and around Sheffield

Venue

The day conference (including talks, poster sessions, lunch and refreshments) will take place in The Edge. Conference dinners will be held in Halifax Hall and accommodation is in Halifax Hall or Jonas Hotel (you will be informed nearer the time where your accommodation is situated).

Getting to/around Sheffield

Air

Manchester Airport is the closest large international airport with a wide choice of flights and is probably the first choice of airport for travel to Sheffield. Other nearby airports include Doncaster/Sheffield Robin Hood, Leeds/Bradford and East Midlands.

Train

Sheffield has rail links to most major UK cities and there are direct trains to Sheffield from Manchester Airport. Train times can be found at National Rail Enquiries. Taxis can be caught from the rank at Sheffield train station and Sheffield also operates Uber. Alternatively, you can take a bus from the railway station to the venue.

Bus

Take the 120 bus (towards Fulwood or Ranmoor) from Pond Street, near the railway station. Alight at Endcliffe Crescent and the venue is a short walk from the bus stop. Plan your journey with Travel South Yorkshire.

Car

If using Sat Nav, use the postcodes above for the venue or accommodation as appropriate. Parking is available free of charge at the venue but spaces are limited and you will need a parking permit. Contact CBMNet manager Janet Cronshaw (j.cronshaw@sheffield.ac.uk) prior to the event.
